Do I need to combine the Supplements with Activating Serum to see results?

It is not required to combine the supplements and Activating Serum to see results. Both were created to promote a healthy scalp and strands and they do this in their own ways. The supplements promote targeted scalp, hair, and internal wellness while the Activating Serum works topically. There is not one single solution to hair loss, so it’s important to build a routine that improves overall wellness. We say, choose whichever fits best with your routine. If you choose both, that’s great! There is a complementary effect when taken together, but it is not necessary.

I’m not currently losing hair, but I want to prevent it. Will this help?

Yes! Prevention is the most effective measure that you can take against thinning hair. The active botanicals and science-backed ingredients in Activating Serum help nourish your scalp and maintain follicle health. With regular use, Activating Serum helps maintain your hair’s normal growth cycle. Our supplement packs are targeted for those who want to support healthier hair growth and scalp health.

Are all your products safe for use while pregnant and during postpartum?

Yes! All our products were formulated to be safe for use while pregnant and breastfeeding, but it’s always best to check with your doctor before you try new products. Our Revitalizing+ Supplement pack contains Green Tea which has a small amount of caffeine.

Yes, all our products can be safely used on color-treated and highlighted hair. We don’t use harsh sulfates or other ingredients that can diminish the lifespan of your dye job, so you’re good to go.

Are these products safe for children?

Our Regimen products (Activating Serum, Detoxifying Shampoo, Fortifying Conditioner) are clean and safe for children, but if you do use the Activating Serum on your little ones, be sure to consult with your doctor first. The Activating Serum has a tingling / warming sensation when applied. This should never hurt, but it can be uncomfortable for some.


Revitalizing and Revitalizing+ Supplements are not recommended for children and should be kept out of reach. We suggest speaking with a pediatrician on which children's multi-vitamin would be best for your child. 

ACTIVATING SERUM
How do I use the Regimen?

Start your Regimen by cleansing and conditioning your scalp and strands with Detoxifying Shampoo and Fortifying Conditioner. Once you are out of the shower, towel dry your hair and apply one full dropper of Activating Serum to your scalp. Massage Activating Serum into your scalp for 30-60 seconds. Then, blow dry your scalp on a cool or warm setting for 1-2 minutes. Detoxifying Shampoo and Fortifying Conditioner are gentle enough for daily use and we strongly recommend using Activating Serum every day. This can be on a dry or damp scalp, but consistency is key.

When will I start seeing results with Activating Serum?

Activating Serum starts working immediately, however, it takes most of our customers 3-4 months to see new growth as it takes time for your hair growth cycle to respond to treatment.

If I stop using Activating Serum, will my hair go back to how it was?

Thinning hair is no different than aging skin or acne. If you stop using your anti-aging cream or acne treatment, your wrinkles and breakouts will gradually come back. The same goes for thinning hair. If you stop using our products, your hair will gradually make its way back to its starting point–unless something has changed inside your body as a result of other health and lifestyle changes. It’s important to stress that this process will be gradual. If you stop using Activating Serum, your hair won’t suddenly change the next day, week, or even month.

Does my scalp need to be dry when I apply Activating Serum?

No, you can apply to either a dry scalp, or a towel-dry/damp scalp after a shower. Either way, we highly recommend blow drying your scalp on a cool or warm setting after applying our serum. Bacteria, yeast, and other aggressors that can inhibit the health of your hair follicles thrive on a damp, warm scalp. We recommend blow-drying your scalp after every shower and after every product application to prevent these microbes from hanging out on your scalp.

Why does the Activating Serum make my scalp tingle?

Activating Serum was specifically formulated to increase blood flow to the surface of the scalp in order to promote and maintain the health of your hair follicles. As blood rushes to the surface, your scalp may feel warm. This sensation should dissipate within 5-10 minutes. If, at any point, the warming sensation becomes painful, rinse out the product immediately.

Can I use Activating Serum if I’m also using minoxidil?

Yes! In fact, many of our customers use minoxidil and have been happy with the boost in results they’ve seen from using both treatments together. In addition to their long-term benefits, both Activating Serum and minoxidil can help your hair immediately feel thicker (just blow-dry after application to see the difference), so they also make a great styling combination.

Can I use the Activating Serum while taking biotin supplements?

Yes! In fact, wellness supplements and Activating Serum make a great combination. Many of our customers use vitamin supplements (like biotin) and Activating Serum, and asked that we create our own, so we did! Both Revitalizing and Revitalizing+ Supplements are formulated to support your body with clean, high-quality, essential nutrients that you need for optimal scalp and hair health. 

Does the Activating Serum work for people with Alopecia?

Yes, our Activating Serum does work for people with Alopecia. While the underlying cause of hair loss is sometimes unknown, we do have customers with alopecia who have reported seeing 'baby hairs' after 3 to 4 months of consistent use.

Can I use my regular styling products?

Sure! Activating Serum adds volume and makes your hair feel thicker, so you might not actually need to use other styling products to get the look you want. That said, Activating Serum does play nicely with others. There’s no need to change your regimen if you’re hooked on a specific styling aid.

Why do I need to wash my hands after using the Activating Serum?

Activating Serum contains ingredients that can be irritating to your eyes. We recommend washing your hands after use so that you don’t accidentally introduce the product to the eye area.

Is the Activating Serum FDA approved?

Since the Activating Serum does not contain any drugs, it does not need to be FDA approved. However, we have scientific studies to support the effectiveness of our Serum. Can I order more than one Activating Serum at a time?

Yes! You can add additional Activating Serums to your monthly delivery by logging into your account. How are these supplements different from other hair supplements?

The Collective Labs’ supplement packs are targeted for those who want to promote healthy hair growth and scalp health. Our supplement packs contain individual, targeted nutrients that are needed for your body to grow healthy hair. Each supplement pack (depending on what you purchase) has 4 to 6 targeted supplements to support healthy hair growth and cardiovascular health. Other hair supplements are a dry mix of ingredients and may not support cardiovascular health. 

Since our supplements are individual and targeted, you can easily understand the amount of nutrients per serving you are adding to your daily wellness routine. With our supplements, you will receive a higher amount of Ultra Omega-3, which you cannot receive in a dry capsule mixture. Gummies are yummy, but do not deliver the maximum nutrients you need to support a healthy scalp. Our supplements maximize your nutritional amount per serving.

What will happen if I stop taking the Revitalizing and Revitalizing+ Supplements?

Think of your hair growth routine like going to the gym - if you see results, then keep with it. That said, if you choose to stop, there won’t be any abrupt changes as our supplements are 100% drug-free. The new growth will not have the same building blocks as when you were taking the supplements.

When should I take my Revitalizing or Revitalizing+ Supplement?

We recommend taking your supplements in the morning with breakfast. The vitamins in your pack, particularly the Ultra Omega-3, are better absorbed when taken with a meal and a good source of fat.

Will the Revitalizing and Revitalizing+ Supplements grow hair all over?

The supplements will reinforce hair growth where it is lacking, not foster growth in new places.

Will Revitalizing or Revitalizing+ Supplements promote nail growth as well?

Yes, specifically the Biotin supplement supports energy production for healthy hair, nails, and skin.

Can I use these Revitalizing or Revitalizing+ Supplements if I’m also using prescription hair loss medication?

Yes, our products work with internal prescription hair loss medications like finasteride and topical medications like minoxidil. If you are using other topical medications, please check with your doctor first before layering treatments.

Are Revitalizing and Revitalizing+ Supplements FDA approved?

The FDA regulates prescription medication, not supplements like these. Our supplements meet the FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and are made in a cGMP NSF certified facility that is FDA regulated.

Is it OK to take Revitalizing or Revitalizing+ Supplement during chemotherapy?

Please consult your doctor before taking supplements during chemotherapy treatments, as both supplement packs include Ultra Omega-3, fish oil.

Can Revitalizing or Revitalizing+ Supplements be taken with other supplements or medicine?

These can be taken with other supplements, however, it’s always best to consult with your doctor. Please consult your doctor if taking other medicine.

Will my insurance cover the cost of Revitalizing or Revitalizing+ Supplements?

Some FSAs will accept an itemized receipt, however, please consult with your insurance company first.

Are Revitalizing or Revitalizing+ Supplement vegan?

No, they are not vegan. The Biotin, Hyaluronic Acid, and Ultra Omega 3 use a non-vegan capsule. The Hyaluronic Acid is a formulated blend with Type ll Collagen from chicken. The Ultra Omega-3 contains fish oil.

Are Revitalizing or Revitalizing+ Supplement gluten-free?

Yes, the supplements are certified gluten-free.

Will Revitalizing or Revitalizing+ Supplements give me energy or make me tired?

No, the supplements will not make you tired. Ashwagandha in the supplement pack can help maintain energy levels while supporting your body’s healthy response to physiological and psychological stress.

Where are your products made?

We source ingredients from around the world, but we make our products in our lab in California.

How do you source your ingredients?

We search the world for the best ingredients. We’ll try anything: scalp massages in South Korea, herbal hair masks made by grandmothers in India, rare botanicals from the Amazon rainforest. Led by the wisdom of these traditions, we discover effective natural ingredients that improve hair quality, prevent strand loss, and promote growth. We make an effort to source the highest quality version of each of our ingredients, which often means importing them from other countries. Once we get them into our lab in California, we blend the raw ingredients to create our formulas.

Do you use animal testing for your product?

Never! Animal cruelty has no place in our lab or your bathroom. We test our products on ourselves (and our friends) so we know that they really work.

Can I skip upcoming orders and edit my subscription at any time?

Yes! As a subscriber, you can skip upcoming shipments, change the number of days between deliveries, add or swap for different products in your customer portal online.

To access your subscription, log into your account, then go to “Account” -> “Manage Subscription.” Select “Next Box Ships On” to change your delivery date.

To access your subscription portal, you must first activate your account by setting a password. An account activation link is sent to your email after you’ve made your first purchase. If you are having any trouble logging in, our team is happy to help! Email us at support@collectivelabs.com.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can change the items in your subscription, skip deliveries, cancel your account and update billing and shipping information by logging into your Customer Account Portal. If you need any assistance email us at support@collectivelabs.com.

How do I get a refund?

If you are a first-time purchaser and are not satisfied with one of our products that you have purchased in the last 30 days, we will accept a return of the product(s) for a refund of your purchase price, less the original shipping and handling costs. Shipping label for the return is not provided.

To return the product(s) for a refund send it to the address below with your name and order number. A refund will be issued to the original form of payment once your return has been processed.

All returns are subject to inspection before a refund is processed. Returned items that do not meet the above criteria or that are damaged in transit back to us may not be refunded.
